The Bulmershe School
Speed Coaching Initiative
The Bulmershe School partnered with Kanevolve Ltd to design and deliver an innovative leadership development model: the Speed Coaching Initiative. The programme has been running for 3 years.
Built around five focused 20-minute coaching conversations per leader across the year, the initiative provides short, sharp, high-impact coaching designed to fit the rhythm and pressures of school life.
Unlike traditional hour-long coaching, this model prioritises precision and momentum. Each conversation centres on a single leadership priority, informed by 360 review feedback and appraisal objectives.
- 5 x 20-minute sessions per leader across the year
- Senior and middle leader participation
- Performance coaching and leadership behaviours
- Structured confidentiality and ethical contracting
Corvus Learning Trust
Strengthening leadership capacity across the Trust
Corvus Learning Trust partnered with Kanevolve Ltd in March 2025 to strengthen leadership capacity across its schools through a structured middle and senior leadership development programme.
Middle Leaders – Six twilight sessions focused on culture, challenge, curriculum leadership and coaching, with participants applying learning through live improvement projects.
Senior Leaders – Three conferences centred on self-awareness, coaching as a leadership approach, leading high-performing teams and sustaining change.
Middle leadership: 100% identified practical strategies they could apply immediately. 89% reported increased self-awareness. 83% committed to specific leadership actions. Senior leadership: 100% positive ratings and 100% would recommend the programme. CEO Stuart Matthews noted a tangible difference at all levels.
Walthamstow School for Girls
Building a coaching culture
A long partnership to embed and sustain the vision of being a coaching school, strengthening leadership practice at senior and middle levels.
The 2025-26 programme includes an SLT conference day with individual coaching, a middle leaders conference, and a structured block of six confidential coaching sessions for middle and senior leaders since 2024.
Leaders report increased confidence, sharper goal-setting, stronger accountability and a shift towards inside-out change leadership. The coaching approach is embedding a sustainable coaching culture across the school.
The Lowry Academy
Strengthening senior leadership towards excellence
Kanevolve began working with The Lowry Academy in 2025 to support the next phase of its improvement journey – moving from a secure Good judgement towards sustained excellence through strengthened executive leadership.
The work included a senior then middle leadership conference to embed the Balanced Leadership framework, plus six individual coaching sessions per senior leader using the Balanced Leader profiling tool.
Impact includes stronger executive authority, horizontal system thinking across attendance, curriculum and pastoral systems, a shift from rescue to capacity building, and a more aligned, emotionally regulated SLT.
North Cambridge Academy
Embedding an innovative coaching culture
NCA partnered with Kanevolve to design a technology-enabled coaching model that integrates instructional coaching with IRIS Connect. The ambition was not simply to train coaches, but to build a sustainable coaching culture rooted in reflective practice and professional trust.
The programme included a whole-staff launch INSET, six twilight sessions on coaching with IRIS Connect, and coaching-based line management for middle and senior leaders.
SJ Eastwood, Assistant Principal, said Kanevolve Coaching has been invaluable and staff are already seeing a positive impact on school culture. The academy now has a trained coaching team, evidence-informed coaching conversations, and a sustainable framework for reflective practice.
Understand. Challenge. Evolve.
